What happens if I edit a role
Roles can be edited by selecting the Edit option in the Actions menu or double clicking on the row in the Roles list.
Only Users with a Super admin account can create and edit Users and Roles.

You will be able to edit any part of the role page.
If permissions are edited, this will take immediate effect.
Create permission removed
If a user's role had originally given them a Create permission and this is removed, the + Create button will be removed from the list page. If they have Edit or Delete permissions remaining they will still be able to see the list page and take these other actions from the menu.
| Task configuration/ Task Templates/ Create and Edit enabled - the User can view the list; create new Task templates and Edit existing Task templates. | |

| Task configuration/ Task Templates/ Create has been disabled, Edit remains enabled - the User can view the list and Edit existing Task templates but they no longer have a + Create button. | |

If the Create permission is removed while the user is in the process of creating an instance, they will be not be able to save and instead will be shown an onscreen error message. This error message will explain that their role permissions have been updated and that this action is no longer permitted.
Edit permission removed
If a user's role had originally given them the Edit permission but not Create or Delete and the role permissions are changed so that Edit is disabled, the list page will be removed and the item will not appear in the left hand menu. The exception to this is with Object classes. If the User has a Permission set for an Object class which allows them to View it, the list will remain but only for Object classes where this override exists.
| Data model/ Object classes Edit enabled - the User can view the list and Edit existing Object classes but they do not have a + Create button. | |

| Data model/ Object classes Edit has been disabled - the User can view the list but it contains only classes for which they have a Permission set which allows them to see it. | |

Delete permission removed
The same is true if the role originally had Delete enabled but not Create or Edit. If the Delete permission is disabled, the list page will be removed and the item will not appear in the left hand menu.
| Sequencer/ Delete permission is enabled - the User can View the Sequences list and delete sequences. They have no ability to Create new sequences or Edit existing sequences. | |

| Sequencer/ Delete permission is disabled - the User will see the Access denied message if they attempt to visit eg https://domain.autologyx.com/system-configuration/sequences. The Sequences option is removed from their menu and they have no access to the list. | |
