New user account types
Driven by the desire for better user management, we've introduced dedicated Internal and External users account types in Catalyst, coupled with a revitalised User Interface, designed to empower users with greater clarity and control.
At a glance: The centrepiece of this UI overhaul lies in the breakdown of each user account type, now distinctly outlined with its specific functionalities and limitations.

User account types
- 1-Time Completion Users: Users granted access solely for completing one-time tasks, without login privileges.
- Internal Users: A novel user type with access to system functionalities based on permissions but ineligible for role assignment.
- External Users: Tailored for external partners, Catalyst introduces the External User type. These users gain system access based on granted permissions, ensuring their access is limited to specific functionalities aligned with external collaboration needs.
- Config Admin: Users with standard system access, coupled with the ability to assume specific roles, such as creating Object Classes or sequences.
- Super Admin: Users with omnipotent access to all system resources, empowered to execute any permissible action.
User limits and counts
Additionally, each user type is now associated with a distinct user limit, communicated through a user count.
This provides real-time insights into the number of users you can create for each account type. It not only helps you stay within the prescribed limits but also ensures optimal utilisation of available resources.
More than just a visual refresh, the UI transformation fosters an intuitive and efficient user management experience. With this delineation, we believe managing users in Catalyst provides clarity, control, and efficiency in user administration.
